Buffalo River Fest Park 2016 Summer Concert Series Lineup

Every summer, music fans head down to the Buffalo River to check out some of the city’s old school favorite bands. The Buffalo River Fest Park 2016 Summer Concert Series has become a summer essential for those who like to wind down, have a couple of drinks, watch the setting sun, chill by the river, and listen to rock, blues, country, swing, etc.

“Buffalo River Fest Park is abuzz with exciting new projects,” said Peg Overdorf, Director of the Valley Community Center – the organization that sponsors the concert series. “The weekly concerts are a family-friendly way to enjoy the many developments happening on our waterfront. We are looking forward to welcoming thousands of Western New York residents and visitors to our park for another season of the concert series.”

The band line-up for this free concert series is as follows:

June 1st – “Getting Better”

June 8th – “Screaming Pineapples”

June 15th – “Back Beat ‘64” (Beatles tribute band)

June 22nd – “Wide Right”

June 29th – “Crash Cadillac”

July 3rd – “Bill LaRusch” (*Sunday event – Independence Day celebration)

July 6th – “Flip Side”

July 13th – “The Buffalo 5”

July 20th – “Disco Duck”

July 27th – To be announced

August 3rd – “West of the Mark”

August 10th – “Krossfire”

August 17th – “JJ Swing”

August 24th – “Breakaway”

August 31st – “Crash Cadillac”

September 7th – To be announced

Friday, September 9th – Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day Party featuring live Irish music by “Crikwater”

The bands are scheduled to play every Wednesday evening beginning June 1st and ending September 7th. Show times are 6:30pm until 10pm. 

Buffalo River Fest Park is located at 249 Ohio Street, Buffalo, NY 14204. Parking is free and widely available. No personal coolers are allowed at the park; however, refreshments are available for purchase, with proceeds supporting park maintenance and other riverfront development efforts. Lawn chairs and blankets are recommended. Rain will force concert cancellations, so please check the Buffalo River Fest Park and Valley Community Center Facebook pages for updates.
